The
 38th edition of the World Film Festival of Montreal has open enrollment
 for informational and competitive exhibitions , which take place from 
21 August to 1 September in the Canadian city . The
 goal is to promote the cultural diversity of the countries through film
 , the discovery of new talent and developing the quality of world 
cinema . The event seeks entries of short films ( up to 60 min ) until the 1st of June and long until July 1 . Those
 interested must fill out a registration form found at the site , pay a 
fee ranging from 40 Canadian dollars for short and medium-length films 
at 100 Canadian dollars for long , and send a DVD copy to the address 
given in the regulation. The
 films must be subtitled in English and French , produced after the last
 year's edition of the festival and preferably unpublished until the 
event. Several shows will be promoted , with different prerequisites . Selected
 for the World Competition (long, short, early films ) , and 
Documentaries World Productions sections may request support from the 
Ancine the Support Program Participation of Brazilian Movies at 
International Festivals and Audiovisual Works in International Workshops
